Connecting with Love through Yoga
A Yoga Philosophy Workshop with Terry Coe - 4 CE Hours
We are all constantly seeking connection. One of the most powerful ideas behind social movements, religions, and even modern technology with its personal gadgets and social media is that of joining or coming together. Despite all of this, however, we often seem even more isolated than before.
In the vision of the ancient sages, establishing a real connection with others is possible only when we are “connected” with our true selves. Making this connection requires a clear understanding of certain realities; that understanding in turn requires yoga, in the sense of physical, mental, and spiritual discipline.
This workshop will use traditional Sanskrit texts on yoga and related topics as a basis to explore the nature of love, how it relates to our ideas of self, and provide a method for fulfilling this fundamental need to connect. Texts include the Yoga Sūtras, Bhagavad Gītā, Nārada Bhakti Sūtras, and selected Upaniṣads.
Completion of this workshop allows for four contact hours (4 CE Hours) toward Yoga Alliance Continuing Education.
